Are 2G, EDGE and GPRS all the same thing?

They all go at the same speed?

Think of it as
2G=2G
GPRS=2.5G
EDGE=2.75G

In short Yes.

GPRS and EDGE are considered 2.5G and used for data transfer. GPRS is around same speed as dial-up 60Kb/s and EDGE is around 200-300Kb/s
Data transfers over 2G (HCSD) are slower than dial-up.

Not a huge amount of difference then... thanks... 8)
