Given the current stock shortages over in the US, we're still not altogether sure the iPad 2 will actually launch here on March 25 like it's supposed to, but when it does appear 3 Mobile will be one of the networks to carry it.
The data-friendly network released a brief statement yesterday confirming the news, making it the third UK network after Everything Everywhere partners Orange and T-Mobile to sign up for the Apple slate.
The network isn't revealing too much about just what sort of terms it'll be offering for the iPad 2 – in fact its press release spent more time singing the praises of the Apple tablet than taking about what you might be able to do with it on 3.
In fact, the only sentence that's really of any relevance is the simple announcement: “Three UK today announced it will offer iPad 2 with Wi-Fi + 3G and also dedicated data plans for iPad 2 in the coming weeks.”
Given that the network's deals are typically favoured by the more data-hungry type of subscriber, we assume it'll stick to form and those data plans will be fairly hefty – or hopefully unlimited – allocations of web juice.
We'll let you know when we hear further news.
