3D maps arrive on Nokia's Ovi Maps

The 3D effect in Google Earth is certainly impressive, but it's no longer the only service offering you the chance for some 3D fly-by action. According to Engadget, our friendly Finns at Nokia have launched a similar feature for Ovi Maps, which dishes up 3D imagery for 20 European and North American cities.

The great thing about Ovi maps has always been that you can store all maps, voices etc on the phone - thus avoiding any connection fees etc... This looks like toy-ish overkill. Nice, but c'mon, how often would you NEED this on a phone? Give us Anna already!!!!
