Is a 64GB iPhone 4S too much storage?

I won't be keeping music on my iPhone 4S, just photos and emails. Would 32GB be enough?

That would be a heck of a lot of photos and emails!! I would have them backed up to a computer regardless thus negating the need to fill the phone's memory.

I've never had experience with iPhone apps so I don't know what kind of size they tend to weigh in at but if I were you i'd be making the decision between 16GB and 32GB rather than 32GB and 64GB!

Better yet, consider an android handset with removable/expandable storage for a lot less money!

Well I have a 16GB iPad, and I've filled 12GB of that with mostly game apps... I'm now of the opinion to go to as high a storage capacity as you can afford in the first place - you can't upgrade it at a later date.

'Too much storage' has never existed and never will. Do as Emma says and get as much as you can afford.

Although, if you're not using the features the iPhone excels at and only using the phone mainly for email and photos then why not grab something cheaper? An Android with a larger screen might be better for photos, a Blackberry with a really comfortable keyboard my be better for email.

I've got a 32Gb card uin my Android phone and it's all but full. I have got lots of music and ROMS & NAND backups & Titanium backups and Apps and toot. I wish I had more, so am just pondering getting another 32Gb for music pics & apps and leaving the other one for backups, roms etc. £64Gb micro-sd cards are just too dear at the moment, but even so, they don't cost £100 each!!!

@ emma. 12GB of games?! Numerically, how many games is that? Of the 12GB of games you have installed, how many do you actually play!?

I think it's about 50 games? I've played all of them, and I don't uninstall as my nephews love to go through them when they get a hold of my iPad.

Some of them are quite big though - like army of darkness is 103MB.

I COULD just uninstall when there are too many :)

There are some hefty apps out there.

On my phone I have:
FIFA 12: 1.3GB
CoPilot: 465MB
Tiger Woods 12: 457MB
Epic War TD: 336MB
Katamari: 164MB
Pocket God: 94MB

Plus a multitude around 50MB and below. And I'm not a particular heavy user. Storage soon evaporates :)
