64GB smartphone with microSD?

IS there such a thing as a 64GB smartphone with microSD? Or will the Samsung Galaxy S III 64GB be the first?

I don't think so.

Galaxy S3 will be the first which covers both or your criteria, other phones have done one or the other before, but never both.

Yeh the iPhone had 64GB of internal storage with a micr....Oh no wait!.... They didn't! Because they wanted to charge £200 extra than the base model for extra memory that would cost you £40 via a micro sd card....

Ok, mini rant over :)

The Nokia N9 had a 64gb version, too. Again, it was hideously expensive, if I remember correctly. In all honesty, I reckon the 64gb S3 will be disproportionately expensive, compared to the price of memory.

my guess is £549-£599. Or if its a christmas release then something a bit cheaper, maybe £499

On a phone I have no problem with 32 or, heck, 16 GB... never ever ran into problems.
On a tab/iPad it's different, due to using different apps and their being more suitable for watching long movies etc.... But that's just me.
As to the extortionist price hikes for added built-in storage (esp'ly by Apple): ridiculous, indeed.
