Anyone used Absinthe to jailbreak iPad 2, Yet?

Wouldn't want to ruin the missus' iPad now, would I? Anyone successfully gone through with it, yet?

Seen it done on video to an iPhone 4S, went pretty smoothly. I'll find the YT link.

Apologies for the double post, I'd forgotten about the TouchPad's tendency to do that.

Thanks, seems to have worked - only the servers to get Cydia were totally overloaded.

Only "issue" seems to be that iBooks was acting funny afterwards. Wouldn't "find" any of the stored books. Had to uninstall, re-install and then sync 3 times to restore the library.

Updated version of Absinthe for iOS 5 A5 is now available.
You can download Absinthe v0.2 here - various issues were fixed including the VPN error... So, if you haven't been able to jailbreak iOS 5 thus far, try Absinthe v0.2

P.S.
Nothing is wrong with your iPad 2 or iPhone 4S if you jailbreaked, installed Cydia but none of the apps will download due to "host errors" and such. Most likely the various repositories are just overwhelmed by requests.
That happens every time a major new jailbreak is released. Millions of owners of A5 iOS 5 devices had been waiting for an untethered jailbreak. They all want it all now... Just wait a couple of days, and the goodie bag will open.

Jan, has it taken from March 2011 'til now for the iPad 2 to get a "proper" jailbreak oO?

Sorry, double post. Jan, that seems to be happening more often again now, just thought you might want to tell whoever runs the site.

No, it only took until now to get untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 and 5.01 on A5 devices - ie iPhone 4S and iPad2.
iOS 5 plugged a lot of holes, and the devs had to start from scratch.

Re, double posts: it seems you caught my bug. Doesn't happen to me much anymore :p

We should make a thread for bugs and glitches and suggestions, cause **gulp** the side could use some improvements (there goes my 1-year anniversary bonus)

I shall make said thread, I don't want you to get in trouble for suggesting improvements to the site you work for :p. Being a mere user I can't get told off ;).

As for the jailbreak, I'd forgotten the iPad 2 came out on iOS 4 :p. My bad haha.

Thread made...I may have mentioned you as a mod. so new people don't just think I'm having a b*tch.

I don't mind. Getting into trouble about constructive criticism would be an honourable exit ;)
