Acer Liquid E1 sounds decent enough, tipped for Mobile World Congress

Acer Liquid E1 sounds decent enough, tipped for Mobile World CongressRemember the Acer Liquid Metal was one of the best value-for-money handsets out there? Just saying.

The Taiwanese manufacturer is throwing yet another mid-range handset into the smartphone fray, namely the Acer Liquid E1.

It’s interesting looking at the Acer Liquid E1 spec sheet, as just a couple of years ago this chap would’ve been considered a bit of a beast. But the smartphone world, she moves fast.

With the Acer Liquid E1, you’re looking at a 4.5in (960 x 540) IPS display, dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal storage (with a microSD slot welcoming additional GBs), 5MP rear camera, and 1,760mAh battery.

As for operating system duties, the Acer Liquid E1 has Jelly Bean (Android 4.1.1) in the captain’s chair.

There’s no word on a western release for the Acer Liquid E1 just yet, but it’s widely expected to make an appearance at Mobile World Congress, which gets underway... one month from today!
