Remember the Acer Liquid Jade smartphone? It was teased back in April, and eventually made official – alongside three other phones, a tablet and a “wearable” – in June.
Fast-forward, eh, several weeks, and the Taiwanese manufacturer has lifted the lid on something called the Acer Liquid Jade Plus.
A quick reminder: Acer Liquid Jade specs include a 5in 720p display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 13MP rear camera, 2MP front shooter, and a 2,100mAh battery.
Well, hold onto your hats, because the spanking new Acer Liquid Jade Plus takes things to da – yes, da – next level.
For starters, Acer Liquid Jade Plus specs include 2GB of RAM – double that of the original Acer Liquid Jade.
Room for more? How about double the internal storage, too, so that’s 16GB instead of 8GB. Though with microSD compatibility, it’s not all that exciting an upgrade, admittedly.
And, uhm, that’s about it. Otherwise the Acer Liquid Jade and Liquid Jade Plus are nigh on identical. Confused? Us too.
For what it’s worth, the Acer Liquid Jade Plus is pencilled in for an August release, with a price tag of €279 (roughly £220). It’s not clear if that’ll include the Acer Liquid Leap smartband; it’ll supposedly be bundled with the Liquid Jade – and presumably the Liquid Jade Plus – in “selected markets”.
