The consensus among a lot of smartphone followers is that there’s room for a handset around the 4.3in mark to come along with face-punching specs and shift a whole load of units; something that doesn't compromise.
Reading through the Acer Liquid Z3 press release, we thought the Taiwanese manufacturer was about to deliver, but in reality we’re looking at another run-of-the-mill entry-level phone. Bah.
Acer throws around a whole load of promising phrases, such as: “…for anyone who wants a smartphone that packs the features they need without the extra size they don’t.”
And listen to Allen Burnes, VP of Acer’s smartphones in Europe. He says the Acer Liquid Z3 proves that consumers “really can have it all without sacrificing the size and simplicity they want.”
However, ultimately, Acer Liquid Z3 specs include a “vivid” 3.5in display, unnamed dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz, 4GB internal storage, 3MP rear camera, Jelly Bean Android 4.2.2, and a dual-SIM slot.
Dude, when you said: “have it all”, I was thinking more like 32GB internal storage and an 8MP rear camera.
Fancy it? The Acer Liquid Z3 is confirmed for a UK release sometime around mid-August (or shortly thereafter), with a suggested retail price of €99. It’ll drop in Rock Black and Classic White, with flip-covers in Rock Black, Classic White, Sakura Pink, Pop Yellow and Lagoon Turquoise. Beautiful.
