Look at this phone. Nice looking, yes? Indeed. Not the kind of thing that has our eyes watering in adoration, but not bad.
But seemingly that's just us. The good people of the iF International Forum Design feel differently, and have just lavished the Acer CloudMobile with their 2012 design award.
Now don't feel too bad if you haven't heard of either the iF design award or the Acer CloudMobile. Truth is neither had we until this morning, when Acer thought to let the cat out of the bag and tell us all about its forthcoming award-winner.
Apart from its fetching looks we're told the CloudMobile is a flagship device running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, has a 4.3in HD display, Dolby sound and comes in at less than 10mm thick (though it seems pretty much all new phones do these days).
As for the name CloudMobile, that's a reference to the on-board AcerCloud technology, which Acer says “enhances mobile productivity by providing seamless document management”. We presume there's some kind of cloud storage quota involved, otherwise that's hardly any kind of ground-breaking claim.
We'll find out more at Mobile World Congress later this month, as Acer says its good-looking new arrival will be turning heads at the Barcelona showpiece, though it'll only actually go on sale in the second half of the year.
