I activated my Android phone with the wrong Gmail account – how do I change it?

Menu > Settings > Accounts and sync > Remove Account

will get rid of the current one.

I also meant to add.... If it doesn't then prompt you for a new account then you can rerun the initial screens again via Applications > Setup.

Was 'cleaning' my Desire HD yesterday because I'm selling it.
Now get this: "only a factory reset can delete this account"!
The account you register with cannot be deleted... How daft.

So it seems it varies from device to device.

Yeah I think I have to do a factory reset!

That alone makes me NOT regret selling the HTC Desire HD!

I think a secondary account can be added/deleted at will, but I thought it was standard behaviour that a primary account change needs a factory reset.
