Adobe Photoshop Touch has been available for the iPad and Android tablets for a while now, being noted in the App Store’s Best of 2012, and gaining entry to something called the “App Store Hall of Fame”. Apparently.
The wait for Android smartphone and iPhone users is finally over, with Adobe releasing a special version of Photoshop Touch for the small screen.
To date, the big name in smartphone picture editing has pretty much been Instagram, though there are admittedly various other options.
Now arguably the biggest name has arrived for Android smartphones and iPhones, with – among a ton of other features – layers, selection tools, adjustments and filters.
With regards to battling Instagram, Stephen Nielson, product manager at Adobe tells TechRadar: "Our focus is the core features of Photoshop – the layering, advanced selections. It does include filters and adjustments, but those aren't the core features.
"We have some unique features, like more transformative tools that transform an image into something different rather than overlaying a filter."
