Now we're all for a bit of Royal Wedding fever, but would we fork out for a special edition mobile phone to celebrate the occasion? Well, no, not really.
But that's just us, and if you feel differently you'll be delighted to hear that Alcatel has just the blower for you, and it's exclusively available from Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy.
The Alcatel Royal Wedding mobile phone comes decked out in the Union Jack up front, with an all-red back plate engraved – well, printed – with Wills and Kate's initials and the all-important wedding date – that's April 29, in case you're still lost.
But it's not just over-the-top Royal-inspired branding that you get: the default ringtone is of course Mendelssohn's Wedding March, while fire the phone up for the first time and you'll be treated to a snapshot of The Lovely Couple as your ringtone.
If you do manage to get over your pro-royalty swoon long enough to actually use this handset as a phone, you'll find that otherwise it's a fairly stock-standard Alcatel One Touch.
This piece of branded memorabilia will be available from £15 per month on pay as you go from Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy.
Now far be it for us to judge, but surely if you're looking for a keepsake that'll serve as a precious reminder of the big day for decades to come, a mobile phone that'll pretty much be useless plastic in five years' time isn't the way to go?
