Already Orange PAYG customer can I order iPhone4 microsim?

Orange website states you can order PAYG microsim for iPhone4 for £15, but can I do this and keep my existing orange PAYG number?

Yes - you just use the temporary number that comes with the new microsim until they process the request - then your old sim wont work and you can throw it away. Very simple to do - very common request.

As far as I know you can buy as many prepay sims as you want - at least here in Ireland. Just ring Orange customer care or ask instore. Or do you mean to keep your old sim and number and get a microsim with the same number? That is not possible. The networks, for technical reasons, only allow one sim per phone number.

thanks for the reply, what I meant was that I order a microsim for £15 and discard my old sim but keep my old number.

I was with Orange and they wanted to charge me an extra £10 per month for the honour of having a microsim. I was near the end of my contract anyway so ditched them for T-Mobile who have been really good and answer the phone within a minute or 2 usually unlike 15 mins average with Orange.

Most simcards can be trimmed down to microsim size quite easily with a decent pair of scissors. Plenty of guides on youtube etc.

You can get a free microsim that runs on a payg network from http://www.giffgaff-sims.co.uk They come with five pounds credit when activated and offer unlimited internet also, They run on the O2 network and if you want to keep your number simply request a PAC code.

I'd steer clear of Giff Gaff if I were you, look at the prolems and disatisfied customers on their forums and elsewhere.
