Martin is well and truly sick of writing about all the Amazon Kindle Fire news, so he’s passed the baton to yours truly for this final (maybe) story.
Good news for us in the UK, as CEO Jeff Bezos has written a lovely letter telling us to expect the Amazon Kindle Fire 2 and the Kindle Fire HD 7in. Nicccce.
The Amazon Kindle Fire 2 and Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7in will land in the UK on October 25 (a month behind the US, bah), the latter being available in 16 or 32GB flavours.
Somewhat confusingly, there’s no mention of the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9in. It’s arriving in the US on November 20 (with or without 4G), some two months after the aforementioned chaps.
Also missing from Amazon UK are the spanking new Kindle Parperwhites, which offer whiter whites, blacker blacks, 62% more pixels, 25% higher contrast, and a “revolutionary built-in front light”.
As for pricing, you can grab the enhanced Amazon Kindle Fire for £129, while the Kindle Fire HD 7in will set you back £159 or £199 for the 16 and 32GB models respectively.
