Is Android more popular than iOS in the UK?

Is Android more popular than iOS in the UK? Everywhere I look people seem to have iPhones!

Apparently the Samsung galaxy 3 is more popular than the iphone 5, whatever that means. Some days on my daily London commute I see far more androids than I phones. Today its about even. Haven't got the stats though

Yes, Android is more popular now - mostly courtesy of cheap phones. And the fact that any manufacturer is free to use it without any restrictions or royalties.

Yes. But hey, there are close to 2000 (!) mobile devices that run Android vs what? A dozen iOS thingies...

@ctpahhik I'm not convinced the 2nd half of your statement has anything to do with Android's popularity among Joe and Jane Enduser. It explains the mass of cheap phones, but not the popularity. In my most humble opinion :D

I was referring to things that are not phones, but rather devices where Android is not advertized - tablets, e-reader, GPS, etc.
