Rovio, the developer behind the ludicrously popular Angry Birds series, vaguely announced the latest installment a few days ago. It’s called Angry Birds Space, and it’ll arrive for iOS, Android, PC and Mac on March 22.
However, now we’re hearing that it’ll initially launch as an exclusive for the Samsung Galaxy Note.
A teaser video for Angry Birds Space (which really doesn’t reveal anything much at all) suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Note offers the “Best on-the-go gaming experience”. If you say so.
The promo material contains the parody taglines “Houston, we have a slingshot,” and “It’s one small step for a bird, one quantum leap for birdkind.”
Rovio tells us to mark March 8 in our calendars, as that’s the date it’ll make its official Angry Birds Space announcement. If you’re really fussy, you might want to note down 3pm London time too.
Presumably Angry Birds Space will launch on the Samsung Galaxy Note prior to March 22 if Rovio intends to stick to its original multi-format promise, but in any case it doesn’t sound like it’ll be an exclusive for very long.
