Apple catching up with iPad 2 demandIt seems like only yesterday that the iPad 2 was released, but next Monday will mark the four-month anniversary for us in the UK. Jings.

The iPad 2 was released on March 25 in the UK, with only a trickle of units reaching stores. Phones4U, for example, reported one unit per shop. Meanwhile, online, the shipping time was immediately quoted as 2-3 weeks.

The problem only got worse and the shipping time quickly rose to 4-5 weeks across the globe, but there are now signs that Apple is finally getting on top of things.

If you order an iPad 2 from the UK Apple Store, for example, it’s estimated that it’ll be fired out in just 3-5 business days. Now that’s more like it.

Folks across the Atlantic have it even better. Shiny new iPads are dispatching to Yanks in 1-3 business days.

Good news if you’re keen to grab an iPad 2, but then there are those pesky rumours of an imminent iPad 2 Plus
