Apple charges £59 plus £7.50 for postage for the battery replacement of an iPhone http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=servicefaq&geo=United_Kingdom&product=iphone&select=BATTERY_REPLACEMENT

You can find cheap repair kits for iPhone 4S battery replacement on ebay. Such as => http://www.mobot.net/iphone-4s-replacement-battery-toolkit-359-delivered-ebay-72224

And there are plenty of tutorials online. But note: as tempting as that £3.50 offer above reads, I would try and buy an original part.

As Jan said, I'd buy a genuine Apple battery and fit it myself. The back of a 4S just slides off when you remove the two screws on the bottom of the phone, IIRC.

Yep, the iPhone 4 and 4S are quite easy to open up for surgery.

The same can't be said for the iPhone 5/5S, which disassemble from the front, display first.
