Will Apple still replace the battery on the ancient iPhone 4S? If so, do you know how much it'd cost?

Apple, afaik, replace batteries on all devices they made/make. The iPhone 4S is still on sale world-wide. But they charge a lot of money. If I remember, here in Ireland, e.g., it's something around €80. You can get it replaced locally with an authentic battery for €40 - €50. The iPhone 4 and 4S are relatively easy to service - much easier than a 5S or 6...
You can search for iPhone battery replacement kits on Amazon or ebay. They usually come with the tool/s needed. And there are many tutorials on Youtube and elsewhere. Just make sure the kit comes from a reputable seller with a proper, certified battery. You can sometimes find kits for under £5!!! Guess how good that battery is
