Apple iPhone 4S
iPhone 5S specs to include 12MP rear camera with enhanced low light mode
It’s widely accepted that the next iPhone will be the iPhone 5S (as opposed to an all-new iPhone 6), and – as such – tradition dictates that it’ll have a speedier processor and fancier camera.
That’s what we’re hearing again today; that the iPhone 5S will have a radically enhanced camera, specifically weighing in with 12MP.

In celebration, AppHero has put together an interesting App Store infographic, chock full of stats and that.

While there are reportedly millions of jailbroken iPhones (and iPads and iPod touches) out in the wild, there seems to be a common misconception among less technical types that doing so demands the cyber dexterity of an Anonymous hacker. Not so. Not so at all.
Indeed, this is less of a How to guide, and more of a reassurance that jailbreaking your iPhone is easier than setting up a POP email address. For serious. The entire process should take less than 10 minutes, and mostly involves sitting doing nothing at all.

Cheeky old DigiTimes adds the notion of iPhone 5S wireless charging, but that doesn’t seem likely at this stage. Not in the slightest.

iOS 6.1 is a pretty minor update in the grand scheme of things, offering next to no new functionality, with the headline feature being increased LTE support. ‘Mazing.
Apple addressed an issue with iPhone 4S connectivity earlier this week, but Cupertino’s iOS 6.1 woes ain’t over yet. See, an utterly bizarre flaw has been exposed, allowing access to Contacts without entering the passcode.

That was according to Cannacord, and not to be outdone, Gartner has fired out its gargantuan annual mobile sales report. As ever, it makes for incredibly interesting reading.

Apple’s iOS 6.1 update set some sort of record for installation rates, despite bringing a whole lot of nothing much to iPhones and iPads. Indeed, for some iPhone 4S owners, the update proved detrimental to connectivity and battery life.
Well, there’s good news if you fall into that unlucky category, as Apple is rolling out iOS 6.1.1 – just for iPhone 4S owners. It promises to cure what ails you.

Our Jan is always preaching that you should wait before embracing updates, just to be on the safe side. “Don’t be a guinea pig,” he’ll whisper in your ear, perhaps while caressing your cheek.
That notion is given credence with the news that Vodafone is telling its iPhone 4S-owning customers not to upgrade to the latest version of iOS, namely iOS 6.1.

In a story that’s sure to irk Android owners (said in an entirely tongue in cheek fashion), Apple has fired out iOS 6.1 to a huge portion of its user base in record time. What’s Jelly Bean adoption at? Like, 3%?
Specifically, a whopping 21.81% of iDevice owners updated to the latest version of their beloved OS in just 36 hours.

Anyway! I’m sure you can see where I’m going with this. Amazing Ants is perhaps best described as a Lemmings clone for the smartphone and tablet generation.
