Apple iPhone 6 leaked in most convincing pics yet

Apple iPhone 6 leaked in most convincing pics yetOver the past few months, we’ve seen a multitude of Apple iPhone 6 picture leaks, but nothing that really screamed: REAL DEAL. Until now.

A Taiwanese guy (more on his bizarre identity below) who reliably leaked the iPhone 5 and iPad mini before their official announcements has shared a trio of shots of what he claims is the 4.7in Apple iPhone 6.

The leak comes via Weibo, specifically from the account of Jimmy "Dreamer" Lin, a Taiwanese singer, actor and professional race car driver. WHAT. THE. HELL? Amazing.

Needless to say, the purported Apple iPhone 6 appears larger than the iPhone 5s it’s pictured beside, the display sizes coming in at 4.7in and 4in respectively.

The Apple iPhone 6 also appears more rounded than previous models, arguably recalling the original iPhone 2G more than anything else.

Thankfully, there’s clearly a plain old 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom. Recent rumours suggested Apple could do away with bog standard headphone action, and instead pump music through the Lightning port, which offers more functionality than simply charging. Probably a bit early for that nonsense, but it’s certainly a possibility in the long term. Beats Lightning headphones, anyone?

There’s not a whole lot more to garner from the latest Apple iPhone 6 pics, but there appears to be a Touch ID fingerprint scanner below the display. No surprises there.

The Apple iPhone 6 launch will likely go down in September. Ish.

It is slightly wider actually, but just the same aspect ratio as before and scaled up, so I agree it should be wider still
