Today’s the day many have been waiting for, as the Apple iPhone 6 is now available to buy across, er, many many countries, including – of course – the UK, which still encompasses Scotland.
Needless to say, if you’ve been queuing for the iPhone 6 for days (as many have), the last thing you want to do is drop it on the ground outside the shop, right?
The iPhone 6 arrives in two sizes, specifically 4.7in and 5.5in, the latter – the Plus model – reportedly being in short supply, as was predicted prior to launch.
Indeed, there are whispers here and there that the iPhone 6 Plus has sold out entirely in some stores, but again, it’s not clear how many units were in stock to begin with.
As always, the press has been on hand to document the queues, some beginning days ago, and lucky punters have been pictured emerging from the Apple store, some literally jumping for joy.
By far our favourite customer, however, is Jack from Perth in Australia. Perth News Today caught the “young bloke” outside the store, and as he nervously unboxed his new purchase, he sent it - you couldn't make this up - crashing to the pavement.
It’s not clear if any lasting damage was caused, but Jack appears to scratch at the screen as the video footage cuts away (YouTube). Oh dear.
Anyone here get their hands on an iPhone 6? Let us know how you’re getting on below.
