Apple pumps out iOS 5 beta 3

Apple pumps out iOS 5 beta 3Apple has rolled out the latest beta version of iOS 5 to developers. This is the third version, so it’s aptly named iOS 5 beta 3. Makes sense to me.

It arrives alongside the latest – again third – beta version of iTunes 10.5, which is required to install iOS 5 beta 3.

iOS 5 beta 3 is compatible with the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, both iPads, and the third and fourth gen iPod touches. That’ll be the case with the final version too, when it’s released later this year.

There are said to be over 200 new features in iOS 5. Steve Jobs detailed the top 10 at WWDC on June 6. It’s expected to arrive in the autumn, probably at the same time(ish) as the iPhone 5 (or iPhone 4S or whatever it's called).

If the likes of “relinquishPresentedItemToWriter:” excites you, head over to BGR for a massively in-depth change log.

Dieing for this to come out, I hope it comes out a little while before the iPhone 5, do not think I can wait that long.
