Apple's in store credit/exchange programme

Does anyone know how generous Apple's in-store exchange programme is for iPhones and iPads?

Do they give you a little more since you're getting credit (and obviously buying a further Apple product), or is it a similar level to recycling? Or less, even?

aaplgeek says this over here:

"I don't like the idea of selling it back to Apple and only getting store credit. I would rather sell it & get back cash so I can purchase the new iPad when it comes out. There a dozen of buy back companies that will pay more than Apple.

"There's even a Kayak like site but for Apple Devices that show you all the offers in one spot.

I've used it before and loved it. I highly suggest it to other Apple lovers, it's called http://www.recomhub.com"
