Samsung just loves confusing the hell out of everyone with slight variations of its smartphones. Heck, at Mobile World Congress we met the Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2. Sigh.
Now we’re hearing that the Samsung Galaxy S Advance, first leaked back in January, is arriving in the UK next week. Hu…zzah?
While the Samsung Galaxy S Plus took the original Samsung Galaxy S and threw in a 1.4GHz processor, this new chap – the Samsung Galaxy S Advance, officially unveiled at Mobile World Congress – cranks the processing juice to 1GHz dual-core.
Other Samsung Galaxy S Advance specs include a 4in slightly curved AMOLED display (480 x 800), a 5MP/1.3MP camera combo, 768MB of RAM, 8GB internal storage and a 1,500mAh battery.
Operating system duties have been assigned to – wait for it – Gingerbread (Android 2.3), with the obligatory slather of TouchWiz on top. Presumably Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) will follow, or perhaps just a, uhm, “Value Pack”. Ahem.
Clove has the Samsung Galaxy S Advance for pre-order at £322.80.
