Yesterday we took a look at Android for the old folks, and today it’s the kids getting a slice of the action.
Archos has unveiled its Child Pad tablet, and – as the name reveals – it’s very much intended for the little ones.
Of course, the Android Market is littered with seedy cr*p like Porno XXX Sexy Girls and Japanese Screaming Schoolgirls, but the Child Pad has access to its own little marketplace – the Kids App Store.
The specs aren’t too shabby, actually. The Archos Child Pad has a 7in display, 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0).
At £99, the Archos Child Pad is a little more expensive than the likes of the LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer (try saying that three times fast), but the former comes pre-loaded with a generous 28 games, including Angry Birds and Pig Rush.
The Archos Child Pad will drop in March. Waitaminute… that’s this month! Where the heck did February go?
