You’d be forgiven for struggling to keep up with French manufacturer Archos and its many, many tablets, whether on account of their ridiculous names, or simply the sheer volume.
Here we have three more to get to grips with, namely the Archos 70 Helium 4G, 80b Helium 4G, and 101 Helium 4G. Catchy.
Starting with the smallest chap, Archos 70 Helium 4G specs include a 7in IPS display (1024 x 768), quad-core MediaTek MT8732 processor, 1GB of RAM, 2MP/0.3MP rear/front cameras, 8GB expandable storage and a 2,500mAh battery.
Both the Archos 80b Helium 4G and 101 Helium 4G match the 70 Helium 4G’s processor, RAM, internal storage and 4G connectivity, and all three run KitKat Android 4.4 with full access to Google Play.
The Archos 80b Helium differs with a slightly larger 8in display (1280 x 800), and beefier 3,600mAh battery.
Finally, Archos 101 Helium 4G specs include a 10.1in display (also 1280 x 800), 5MP/2MP rear/front cameras, and a predictably larger 6,500mAh battery.
Archos has traditionally popped up at the annual CES conference in Las Vegas (2013, 2014), so it’s probably a safe bet that we’ll learn more about the Helium tablet trio next week, including prices and release dates. History suggests they'll fall into the wallet-friendly category, but in any case, we'll have the full story next week.
