Can you get arrow keys on the ipads keyboard?
I am having real trouble putting the cursor in the right place, when I am editing a large section of text. Sometimes I just cannot get it to go where I want, and using arrow keys to navigate would be soooooooo much simpler. Please help, tell me if there is any easier way to put the cursor where you want.

Yes Sir, for a buck you can buy iA Writer by Information Architects http://www.itunes.apple.com/ie/app/ia-writer/id392502056?mt=8
Among other useful things is the option to add arrow keys to the virtual keyboard of the iPad ![]()

Broken link there Jan, sorry! http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ia-writer/id392502056?mt=8 I don't think IA writer actually changes the Apple keyboard though, it's just a text program all on its own.
Alternatively, when you're editing text somewhere, say in your browser or something, tap and hold your screen and it brings up a magnifying glass which you can use to place your cursor with a lot more sensitivity.

Emma => correct link here
Arrow keys =>>> ![]()

You are right - it does NOT change the iPhone's keyboard overall, but if you are editing large chunks of text, you can work around with copy/paste ![]()
Just copy whatever you want to edit, and paste. Then you can use the more convenient iA Writer's keyboard.
Not perfect, but that's why we love Apple ![]()

I'm mostly editing online text, so I am doing it through the safari browser, so IA writer, while it looks sweet, isn't quite right.
I didn't know about that tap zoom function emma - I tried it out and it is a bit more effective, though still pretty fiddly to use.
