The world of Nexus is a confusing place right now. No sooner do we report claims that Asus won't be making the next Nexus 7 tablet, than fresh speculation links it again with the next Nexus 10.
The trusty @evleaks has posted a product description screenshot for an “Asus Nexus 10”, tagged simply with the words “getting closer”.
This after a similar leak from a separate source a couple of weeks back, which also claimed the Nexus 10 would retail for £349.99 – or one of the available models, anyway.
Google is widely expected to launch both the LG-made Nexus 5 smartphone and its flagship new Nexus 10 together some time this month.
That's how it handled things last year, after all, and the Samsung-made first-generation Nexus 10 is starting to look a bit long in the tooth.
We've no idea why Google is switching away from Samsung, but Asus will no doubt be happy – especially if the rumours of it not being involved with the Nexus 7 going forward are true.
The new Nexus 5 and Nexus 10 are expected by some to be launching on October 14, while others are saying they'll be announced at the end of the month.
