New Asus tablet on the horizon

New Asus tablet on the horizonThe Asus Eee Pad Transformer hit the headlines recently, with reports that the device had “sold out” shortly after release. What’s not entirely clear, however, is whether that was a result of high demand or supply shortages. Or possibly a combination of both.

In any case, the controversial Eee Pad Transformer is set to receive company in the form of a new Asus tablet, which the manufacturer is currently teasing via the magic of Facebook.

Unfortunately there’s not a great deal to go on at this stage. A poster for the upcoming Computex 2011 event merely reads: “Break the rules: Pad or Phone?” That probably suggests a device with a screen in the 5 to 7in range.

Tech In Style has a few bonus images for perusal, but there’s no indication of size, or any other specs.

We’ll find out more in a week’s time, at the Asus Computex 2011 press conference.

Well, the poster obviously also suggests phone functionality - hinting at some sort of dell Stream like device...
For that, I'm not sure Asus would be my first choice.
