Asus teases new tablet ahead of Mobile World Congress

Asus teases new tablet ahead of Mobile World CongressNot to be outdone by LG and HTC in the pre-Mobile World Congress leak/unveiling department, Asus has released a teaser video for a spanking new device.

The official video, posted on YouTube, lasts just 17 seconds, and appears to be for a new tablet. Maybe. There’s not a great deal to go on, to be honest.

In said video, a number of coloured balls are dropped into a rectangular tray, presumably intended to represent a tablet.

The tagline at the end promises: “Twice the detail, twice the fun. Endless possibilities.” Hmm, a high resolution tablet perhaps?

We’ve already heard of the Asus Transformer Prime TF700, which is essentially a redesigned model intended to address the reported Wi-Fi and GPS problems. It’s thought to increase the resolution from 1280 x 800 to 1920 x 1200.

Or maybe it’s the Asus Transformer TF300T. The jury’s still out on exactly how this bad boy fits in, as the specs are seemingly a tad more modest than those of the Asus Transformer Prime.

Ah well, we’ll find out for sures next week, eh?
