Asus is one manufacturer thoroughly down with the kids, and as such it has a penchant for making announcements via Facebook – some sort of ‘social networking’ site, I believe.
A few hours ago it made an announcement about a future Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime firmware update, but it’s, like, the vaguest thing ever.
Asus simply says: “Awesome new features coming in the next Transformer Prime firmware update. Stay tuned!” What the…? Is that it?
The promise is accompanied by a picture of three oriental beauties holding Asus products, which will no doubt upset our Jan. He prefers when phones and tablets are modeled by big fat Russian men with beards. Fair enough.
Some info grabbed from Asus’ Swedish Facebook page suggests we could see the Asus Transformer Prime remember the user’s preferred browsing type (desktop or tablet), alongside press-able notifications on the lock screen and a couple of new display modes (scale and crop) for HDMI output.
For a full list of those features, head over to this post on xda-developers.
In the meantime, we’ll be keeping one eye glued to Asus’ Facebook page. Nothing to do with those oriental beauties; we only wish to learn more about this blasted Transformer Prime firmware update. Honest.
