What's battery life like on the Samsung Galaxy Note?

What's battery life like on the Samsung Galaxy Note? The usual Android 24 hours or so? I mean, it's not particularly bad because of the large display?

The large display is offset by the 2500mah battery, so battery life is actually better than many other smartphones. I guess the Note 2 will have even better battery life, if the battery life on the S2 compared to that of the S3, is anything to go by.

Monster display cancels out monster battery, so you should expect 1-2 days between charging, depending on usage. Clever power management is a must (turning down screen brightness, etc).

Yes, I got about 2 days per charge. Now, I only had it for 10 days, and I was playing with it a lot - installing loadsa apps, playing with the pen, twitter etc etc.... The kinda usage killed the SGS3 in 12 hours and the HTC One X in about 5.

Size aside, the Samsung Galaxy Not has been the only Android device these 12 months that impressed me mostly positively. The Note 2 is the only one I'm mildly interested in.

Same, even though I know it'll just be an SGS3 with a bigger screen and a pen (once you strip away all the marketing crap).

I've had mine since Christmas and thought it was an absolutely great device...... on gingerbread. Since ICS I've had repeated crashing and reduced battery life. A quick update has now left *quite* stable and a battery life of a day with very little use. Not been to happy since ICS tbh.

And Matt, isn't the Note just a big S2 though?

But that was new and different, seeing the same formula for a second year...isn't.
