Predictably, there’s tons of talk about the imminent Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One Two, but not to be outdone, LG is grabbing its fair share of rumour attention at the mo.
That’s thanks to the LG G Pro 2. The South Koreans confirmed the phablet’s existence the other day, and now we’re seeing the device leaked in a pair of unofficial pics ahead of its February launch.
That’s the story according to Korean-language DCInside, though the Google Chrome translation adds very little beyond “I ran back key? Blah blah”.
Failing a more accurate translation from our buddy socialjeebus, I’ll assume that comment’s aimed at the rear buttons, as found on the recent LG G2.
There’s no mention of LG G Pro 2 specs, but we can probably expect a 6in 1080p display, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, LTE connectivity, and KitKat Android 4.4.
Don’t worry if you’ve just forked out for an LG G2; this isn’t a new flagship. The G Pro 2 is the equivalent of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3, the Galaxy S4 still being Sammo's flagship.
Having said that, the LG G3 is tipped to launch in May, just nine months after the LG G2, so maybe you’re right to cry after all.
As for the LG G Pro 2 launch, it'll probably go down at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 at the end of February.
