Belle for Symbian ^3 devices is rolling...

More on the main page soon.
But if you own a Nokia E6 or N8 or X7 or or or, you may wanna crank up that Nokia Suite Software Updater now.
Nokia have begun the much anticipated roll-out.

Belle, due to the complexities involved, will NOT COME OTA!!!!!

Okay, Nokia...
2012. Plenty of phones with 3.5in screens that have excellent text entry. And you still cannot design an onscreen keypad for Symbian
that works on a 4in screen?
Belle on the Nokia X7 is really quite good. Yes, Nokia included some of the worst wallpapers ever (imho), but hey. Yes, the digital clock widget is very poor-man's-HTC, but hey...
Belle is fast, the Android-ish pull-down notification bar is greatly appreciated. The browser is much improved. Everything is faster and smoother and 2012. BUT WAIT: text entry makes you wish you had a Nokia 1110. In 2012.
Nokia have good keyboards on MeeGo and WP. Both OSs newer than Symbian. And Belle still sucks to type on in portrait and landscape.

I'm glad I just installed Belle on an X7 that I have already sold.

Try harder, Nokia. Maybe on an E6 Belle can be a 9/10. On a touchscreen-only device it loses 4 points. 5/10. Now competition, unless one is illiterate, anyway.

And that BLUE email widget is just too much of yuck for my taste.

It's very iOS-esque...

No, trust me...it isn't :p It's just ugly.
But to be fair - I think I'm just really gobsmacked by how little effort they put into something important like, ooh, the keypad.

Screw widgets and more home screens if you can't fix the vitals. I'm old fashioned ;)
