Is this the best smartphone case ever? Kickstarter project PRINTS your pics

Before I start, yes this is definitely a bulky case but wait.. it PRINTS the pictures from your phone. Seriously- it's like that 80's Polaroid magic all wrapped up in your smartphone case.

For $99 you can get the second wave of Prynt Classic Cases, including the original case, a pack of printer paper and a mention in Prynt's Hall of Fame.

If you pledge an extra $25 to the Kickstarter project, they'll throw in 50 more sheets of paper, giving you more than enough to play around with this fun piece of kit.

The project has proved to be super popular over on Kickstarter, with the original target of $50,000 being blown away within a few hours. Current pledges stand at $269k and the kits are starting to sell out quickly.

Prynt's first release will be compatible with the iPhone 5/5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 6, Galaxy S4, and Galaxy S5, there are also plans to add more popular handsets in future. But what if you change handsets after you've bought your case? Prynt promise that the part of the case that contains the dock can be easily changed based on the phone model. That means if you upgrade or change phones, you don't need a whole new Prynt Case, you just need to get the adapter.

While you're posing for a photo, the Prynt app records a short video and stores it in the cloud. When you hold your phone over your printed image, Prynt will automatically scan and recognize it, showing your movie on screen- so your images can become more than just snapshots of a point in time, they can become an augmented reminder of everything that you experienced at that specific time.

You can order replacement paper through the Prynt app, which is expected to go live in Summer 2015 on the Appstore and Google Play. With a full editing suite and enhancements promised, the Instagram generation will have huge fun turning their selfies into physical prints.
