Black Nokia Lumia 800 touching down November 16, other colours to followYesterday I scribbled about the Nokia Lumia 800’s price, with Three Mobile offering the Finns’ first Windows Phone 7 handset for a fairly reasonable £399.

We weren’t entirely sure when to expect the Nokia Lumia 800, but now we’re told to mark November 16 on our 2011 Anna Kournikova calendars.

That means the Nokia Lumia 800 will be available from two weeks today. Not long at all, mes amis. However, a Nokia spokesperson has told WinRumors that only the black model will be available initially. Aww man.

The Nokia Lumia 800 comes in the same colours as the Nokia N9, so that leaves cyan and magenta models to follow at a later date, possibly November 28. I’m sure I’ve got the dentist that day, actually.

Nokia’s first Windows Phone 7 handset goes head-to-head with the iPhone 4S, Motorola RAZR and Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but has decidedly more modest specs.

However, as I mentioned yesterday, it’s also a good bit cheaper than its rivals. You get what you pay for, namely a 1.4GHz single-core processor, 3.7in AMOLED display, and 8MP camera with Carl Zeiss goodness.

I guess that means no update to Belle for the N8, X7 and E7 before that date? Cause really, who'd buy the Lumia if, for a hundred bucks less, you get a much more feature-rich X7 or N8???
