BlackBerry 10 security

What makes BlackBerry 10 more "secure" than other operating systems?

And are any of the features of benefit to the average consumer, or are they more enterprise oriented?

BBM and BB email etc are encrypted. Also it is, these days, a very unpopular** OS (** as in: it has a small marketshare. Some people love BB10). For hackers and scammers a small userbase means their time is wasted on trying to scam a few BB users, when, with the same effort, they can target 100 times more Android users.

Having said that: Snowden's (and long before that others' like Assange's) revelations show that 'secure' and 'private' are very inadequate terms these days when certain, um, authorities persuade practically every single tech company on the planet to share their (i.e. OUR) data...

But hey...
