Should I get a BlackBerry Bold Touch?

Would it be silly to get a BlackBerry Bold Touch when RIM's about to move to QNX?

Do you NEED a phone NOW? Then get the Bold 9900 - lovely device.
Who knows what obstacles RIM need to overcome on the road to QNX aka BBX???

RIM's idea of "soon", and the rest of the world's idea of "soon", tend to differ...aka Android App emulator for the Playbook...

In short OP, IMO, no don't bother. The Bold 9900 is the best BB available, it's a long way from being the best phone available. The iPhone 4S, Sensation XE, SGS2 and Nokia N9 beat it hands down, unless you're a security consultant or absolutely NEED a physical KB.

Hm... I kinda disagree, matt.

Why not have a nice luxurious phone that doesn't have a 4in + screen and has the power to play GTA ? A bit more choice can't harm.
If someone relaunched the E71 with it's herobattery, a faster processor and the E6's screen, I'd pay good money for it.
As to security: I'd rather use a slightly underpowered phone than share my life with Google or, god forbid, Microsoft. I understand if others say, fuc* that, we shouldn't need to worry about that. We really shouldn't. But noone expected the Spanish Inquisition ;)

I think the huge success of Qwerty devices such as the 'dumb' Nokia C3 or the 8520 justifies a more quality upgrade option. And since Nokia failed with the E6 (too 'buggy'), RIM are an alternative.
