Last week, someone evidently super-eager for BlackBerry Bold Touch beaver paid £900 for the phone on eBay. That seems pretty steep, and all the more silly when you consider that its official arrival might be just a few weeks away.
Amazon is sticking with September 15 for the SIM free BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900, but a handful of other retailers are more optimistic, and reckon it’ll arrive next month.
Play.com suggests it’ll have stock on 12 August, which is just over four weeks away. It’ll set you back £519.99 with free delivery.
Clove is a little more vague with “late August”. It’s a smidgeon cheaper than Play, at £514.80.
Meanwhile, Expansys doesn’t care to speculate, saying “Price Not Announced” and simply offering the option to pre-order.
The Bold Touch 9900 runs BlackBerry OS 7, with a 2.8in display, portrait QWERTY, 5MP shooter, 8GB of internal storage, and a 1.2GHz processor.
It’s also the “thinnest BlackBerry smartphone yet”, at 10.5mm. So there you go.
