Is the BlackBerry Bold Touch worth £500+?!

£500+ for the BlackBerry Bold Touch seems quite steep considering you can get the Samsung Galaxy S II for less.

I would kind of agree, but I'm sure an Android hater who needs BES/BIS and BBM and likes REAL qwertys will tell 'us' we are the idiots ;)

Personal choice.
Maybe more relevant is the fact that a very similar Nokia E6 costs around £320 (of course, also without BIS etc, and without that 2.8'' screen)

All new high end phones on release cost around £500 nowadays, it's like the "standard" price. The BB 9900 only cost so much still because it's so new, the SGS2 has had a while to drop in price, but IMO the 9900 will drop far faster, the SGS2 has only lost about £25 in price (around £500 down to around £475, SIM free), since it's release back in May.

Yep, the SGSII I bought for a friend was Euro 450 from Vodafone (locked, but unlocking it per free app takes 2 minutes). O2 and 3 Ireland take over 560.00 locked/prepay...

I got my S2 PAYG, from O2 the day they went on sale. O2 UK were undercharging massively and selling the phone for £399.99 and as mine is from the 1st ever batch it was unlocked out of the box :p. Oddly, now £399.99 would still be a great price haha :D.
