Will BlackBerry Messenger be free for Android?
Otherwise I don't know why anyone would bother when there's already Whatsapp.

Because WhatsApp and other BBM wannabes regularly hit the news with things like => http://news.cnet.com/8301-1009_3-57566245-83/whatsapp-privacy-practices-under-scrutiny/

I do not believe privacy exists to any reassuring degree on the webs; but if I had to use instant messaging (which, obviously, I don't) it'd be BBM rather than some ad-space peddlers...
I wouldn't hold my breath though: having used BB10 for 2 weeks now, I think BBM for iOS/Android is no guaranteed winner... :p

Remember after Apple maps-gate, when Nokia rushed their Maps app to iOS? A lot of people though, hey - Nokia have been at it for decades... what could go wrong. Hahaha. Only everything!
