So, a new BlackBerry phone, a new version of the OS, a couple of new apps. All's looking great in RIM-land, right? Well, one sour note, Slashgear reports, is that the new BlackBerry OS 7 release won't be coming to existing BB phones, so version 6.x is as far as they're going to go.

Was to be expected, seeing how the Bold 'Touch' e.g. comes with a snapdragon... I'm sure they will adapt OS7 into some king of 6.xx for older models.
