We’re quite used to seeing gold-coloured smartphones these days, including the rather attractive Nokia Lumia 930 and Lumia 830. Or, if you’ve more money than sense, you might fancy the actual gold iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Sticking with classy minimal gold colouring, we’re currently drooling over the BlackBerry Passport in black and gold.
The black and gold BlackBerry Passport is limited edition, and we mean seriously limited edition, with only 50 units made.
Fortunately, one lucky (and anonymous) buyer has kindly shared pictures of his gold and black BlackBerry Passport on the CrackBerry forums, and while they’re not the best pics (by his own admission), we like what we see; specifically, a gold stainless steel trim around the sides, and a trio of gold bands - or "frets" - across the keyboard.
Otherwise, BlackBerry Passport specs remain the same, so you’re getting a 4.5in display (1440 x 1440 i.e. 1:1 aspect ratio), Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilisation, 2MP front camera, and 3,450mAh battery.
Manufactured in Canada, the gold and black BlackBerry Passport was offered for $999, or roughly £666 in our money. And now, because I can’t have one, I want one.
