My friend was saying her mum has to get rid of her Blackberry cos its bad for her epilepsy. Somethin to do with frequencies. Is that right?!!

First time I read that. Now, I can imagine that small bright screens and prolonged use mightn't be good for someone with epilepsy. Why that should be a Blackberry specific warning is a mystery. I suppose slower less powerful phones might flicker more and menus scroll at a lower frame rate etc etc... but there's a reason all...ALL video console games and some dvds come with epilepsy warnings...
So, I would guess had she used a Nokia smartphone or any other device she used frequently and for long stretches of time, she would have been adviced to quit the habit. Device make is probably coincidental?!
