Do Blackberry phones do multitasking?

If so, can you manually close thing like on iOS and Android?

By long press of the back button you can kill an app, using the red call button (not sure of its official name) it will minimise the app but leave it running in background) and if you long press the menu button you can toggle between apps

Not sure what the second half of your question means, but yes, Blackberry devices do multitask. You can switch between open apps, minimise and 'kill' apps.

yes you can press the menu/options button, it brings up a list and at the very bottom there is usually an option to close/exit.

Thx, cosworth.
It's very similar to multitasking on Symbian 60 and ^3, in fact.
Prior to the iPhone multitasking was one of the 'unwritten' musts of 'smartphone'. BB's, Symbian, pre-7 windows mobile...they all multitasked before iOS and Android.
