Do you think Blackberrys are just for business users?

Or do you think they'd be good enough for normal use? I don't want to use it for work specifically, just the regular stuff - games, apps, emails, calls.

The Blackberry is widely regarded as one of the best phones available for business users, largely due its email functionality. However, it's not just a business phone - you can buy apps and games for your Blackberry too. As Jan says, Blackberrys are good all round phones in my opinion too.

which one are you thinking of? they are good allround phones. but that is 'generally' speaking ;) but again, they vary quite a bit...browser, battery life etc... I'm actually considering getting a Torch - I'm touchscreen-tired.

Thanks, poser88
exactly right. Blackberry have to catch up with others now that most phones can deliver mail almost the moment they land on your provider's server. But even the entry-level Blakberry Curve 8520 has some nifty non-biz functions such as a decently loud musicplayer etc

I see more blackberries on my morning commute than any other phone. And they definitely aren't being used as 'business' phones. A certain age group make huge use of the blackberry chat app whereby you give other users your 'PIN' in order to have real time chat with you which doesn't involve email or text. the fact that email and text are virtually instantaneous make me wonder why anyone would want to pay extra for the service....... I have a Curve 8520 for my business and its a fine phone. Pretty goot battery life and despite the small keys I find it very useable. They make great phones all round (with build in media player buttons on the side). I quite like it.
