How does Blackberrys numbering system work?

What do the numbers on Blackberrys mean? Is there any logic at work?!!

Obviously: the higher the number, the higher specced the phone - example: Blackberry Curve 8520 is 2G only, the Curve 9300 is 3G and of better overall hardware etc.

The last 2 digits can reveal additional info:

xx00 are GSM devices
xx10 are GSM, with GPS
xx20 are GSM with WiFi
xx30 are CDMA devices

Hope that helps ;)
