How can I block 'Unknown' numbers?

Is it possible to block all 'Unknown' numbers? I keep getting prerecorded calls from PPI. I can't think of any time I'd want to receive a call from an Unknown.
Using an LG G2 on O2 at the moment.

You can't (and you might not want to, anyone you know who is ex-directory is unknown).

Register your number here to reduce cold calls:

unknown numbers show up for me if people call from Skype/Viber for you would be blocking those...

it is possible...

Is that available on all Android phones? Just looked on my Z2 and can't see it... there are other alternatives, some free and some paid for apps like BlackList, which used to block SMS as well but SMS can no longer easily be blocked if you're running KitKat.

Possible, but as said, not a good idea.

I use an app called Mr Number to send all calls from people who aren't in my contacts straight to voicemail. My voicemail politely asks them to leave a message, email me or (if it's urgent) drop me a text. Mr Number pops up a silent notification whenever it has screened a call, so I know someone has called even if they haven't left a message. PPI Insurance calls don't tend to leave voicemail messages. Friends/family calling from ex-directory phone numbers do.

What I would like to see is an exception for people who call back within a short time period (say, 3 minutes), because if someone is that desperate to get a hold of you, chances are it's urgent. Unfortunately the only app I know of that has such a feature is Google Voice.
